The concept of THEDAY Marmalade was conceived and founded in 2006 (G.C.) in a kitchen of one of the regular homes in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia by Yezichalem, a passionate mother of 2 boys. It was born out of a need for quality snacks for her boys and family which was not available in the markets at that time. She started making homemade jams out of fresh fruits and ingredients and later saw that there was a larger demand among people around her who loved her jams. That’s when she knew there was a market for her products amongst families like her who want quality fresh snack products for their kids. She started small out of her kitchen and later diversified the products and grew to become THEDAY Agro Industry PLC in 2011 (G.C.) A well loved product know as THEDAY.
Today THEDAY Agro Industry is a leading fruit processing company in the private sector in Ethiopia. It is a legally registered company fulfilling all the food and safety requirements as a manufacturer of consumable goods.
THEDAY uses natural organic ingredients sourced from various local farms that do not use any GMO or harmful substance during their growing processes. By combining these ingredients along with the founder’s family recipe, THEDAY currently produces different flavor fruit jams including Strawberry, Mango and Passion Fruit.
